Overview

Job Description and Service Standards: Banquet Server.

Location: The Club at Longview.

Department: Food & Beverage.

Reports To: Food and Beverage Manager/Banquet Management.

The following reflects basic service standards and job description for a Banquet Server at The Club at Longview.

Perform food and drink serving duties at meal periods and special events while interacting with guests in a positive, friendly, and efficient manner.

• Prepare proper table, room, and drink set up for time of event/meeting, to include moving, rolling and lifting of tables and chairs.
• Greet customers upon their arrival in a friendly and professional manner.
• Serve beverages and food in appropriate order and in tune with the expectation of the banquet captain to ensure consistency throughout the event.
• Remove dishes as guests finish each meal or at the end of the function.
• Replenish beverages when necessary and check with guests to make sure we are exceeding guests' expectations.
• Clear and clean tables in a prompt and efficient manner – clean/wipe down tables, chairs, walls, windows, mirrors, and floors as necessary.
• After banquet concludes, reset banquet room in accordance with the banquet captain’s specification to ensure the rooms are presentable for future functions.
• Complete any assigned duties as requested by Food & Beverage Management Team.
• Attend any training or meetings held as requested by management.
• Willing and able to lift/push 30+ lbs.
• Assist other departments when necessary while maintaining other departments’ standards.
• Take a proactive role in encouraging teamwork, cooperation, harmony, productivity and a positive attitude within the working environment.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
• Prior banquet experience is a plus!
