Design Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing new parts and products, updating bills of materials, and managing engineering change orders.
Responsibilities- Design new parts and products using 3D modeling.
- Update bills of materials as required.
- Manage and implement engineering change orders.
- Focus on CAD modeling, detailed drawings, and Bill of Material work for electrical and fluid/hose/cable reels.
- Potential travel to Ames to support acquired company projects.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and mechanical engineering.
- Experience with bills of materials and change orders.
- 3-5+ years of experience in new product design and print updates.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Solid Works proficiency preferred, but other CAD modeling software experience will be considered.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or an associate's degree with relevant experience.
The position involves 80-90% desk work. Work hours are Monday to Friday, with flexible start times between 6:30-3 or 7:30-4. The role is preferably based in Waverly, but candidates can also be based in Ames to collaborate with the engineering team there. You will be part of a collaborative engineering team of 12 members situated in Waverly.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waverly, IA.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr.
