We are seeking a talented Design Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing new parts and products, updating the bill of materials, and managing engineering change orders. The position focuses on CAD modeling, creating detailed drawings, and handling Bill of Material tasks for electrical and fluid/hose/cable reels.

• Design and develop new parts and products.
• Update and maintain the bill of materials.
• Manage and implement engineering change orders.
• Focus on CAD modeling and creating detailed drawings.
• Work primarily on projects related to electrical and fluid/hose/cable reels.

• Proficiency in 3D modeling and mechanical engineering.
• Experience with bill of material management and change orders.
• 3-5+ years of experience in new product design and print updates.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Solid Works, or other CAD modeling software.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or an Associate's degree with relevant experience.
• Solid Works experience preferred but not required.

The role involves 80-90% desk work with flexible hours from Monday to Friday, either 6:30-3 or 7:30-4. The position is preferably based in Waverly but can also be based in Ames to facilitate interaction with the engineering team. The engineering design team consists of 12 members and is located in Waverly. The work environment is custom and varied, offering continuous learning opportunities, flexibility, and a collaborative team.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Waverly, IA.

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $48.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
