The Staff RN-Ambulatory Clinics works collaboratively as an active member of the interprofessional team to provide therapeutic patient- and family-centered care. The Staff RN collects and continuously assesses data related to patient health status to develop, execute and evaluate the plan of care. The Staff RN utilizes evidence to drive clinical decisions and practices related to individual and population health, establishes goals and strategies for meeting care coordination needs across settings with the patient, family, and other care providers, and considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, and fiscal accountability in planning and delivering care.
The Staff RN delegates and supervises care in accordance with the WI Nurse Practice, participates in continuous quality improvement initiatives, and assumes responsibility for professional development. Major accountabilities include patient care coordination, direct patient care, patient education, telephone triage/eVisits, and performing/assisting with in-clinic minor procedures. May float to other areas as needed for operational needs. Other duties as assigned.
Clinical experience and/or interest in the care and management of patient populations specific to the area of employment. At least one year of relevant nursing experience is preferred.
Education DescriptionNursing Licensure Required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Preferred.
Licensure DescriptionRequires a current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a multi‑state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA‑approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
