Responsibilities

Under the direction of Plant Supervision, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the efficient operation and upkeep of the facility and equipment. The technician performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs as required and is also responsible for safety audits and inspections.

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may expand to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Perform preventative maintenance and all equipment used in ITS manufacturing: welders, fabrication equipment, overhead cranes, air compressors, lighting systems, and other manufacturing equipment.
  • Make repairs on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC and hand tools.
  • Maintains current inventory of replacement parts for hand tools, cranes, building lighting systems, welders, etc.
  • General cleaning, floor scrubbing and other building maintenance as required.
  • Trains employees pertaining to forklift, machinery and lockout/tagout.
  • Maintains time and production records.
  • Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Requisition s tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensures all maintenance activities adhere to safety standards.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
  • High School graduate, Associate or Technical Degree in related field.
  • 3-5 years of related work experience in a fabrication and assembly environment.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. Journeyman electrician status preferred.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
  • Meticulous in performing inspections and documentation.
  • Effective collaboration with other departments.
  • Adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
