Product Development CenterThe Harley-Davidson Motor Company Product Development Center (PDC) located in Wauwatosa, WI is home to the mantra - You dream it.
We are currently accepting applications for the Mechanic 2 position to build a talent pipeline for potential future openings.
Daily Duties- Vehicle Configuration – from assembly of early development prototypes through complete reframing, fleet maintenance, test configuration support, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Engine Building – from prototype through current product, supporting verification of design and troubleshooting to identify root cause.
- Support of regulatory testing and compliance.
- Weld critical assemblies where strength, distortion and other factors must be considered.
- Interpret complex engineering drawings for design intent and critical tolerance.
- Fabricate and lay out components and assemblies in a variety of materials, planning jobs, building, modifying tools, parts and fixtures.
- Set‑up and operation of manual milling, turning, drilling and grinding machines.
- Demonstrate competence in using precision measuring devices.
- Eight (8) years minimum experience as a Professional Mechanic (Automotive, Motorcycle, Aircraft) or as an R&D/Product Development Technician.
- High school diploma or GED required.
