We are excited to invite a talented Electrical Controls Engineer with a focus on Customer Service Modernization and Upgrades (CSMU) to join our dynamic team. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work on innovative controls engineering projects, with the potential for travel up to 50% across the United States to collaborate with our valued customers. The perfect candidate will have a strong background in planning, creating schematic and panel assembly drawings, and expertise with PLCs, especially in Allen Bradley and/or Siemens, along with HMIs, VFDs, and commissioning engineering designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of semi-complex to complex control systems that seamlessly integrate hardware and software components.
  • Develop precise schematic diagrams and designs for control panels, adhering to the highest quality standards.
  • Oversee project budgeting, scheduling, and risk assessments to ensure successful and timely project completion.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors to strategize and execute projects.
  • Conduct thorough site-audits at project initiation to gather essential information and confirm project scope.
  • Review and give constructive feedback on site readiness audits and commissioning processes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and installation teams, sharing your expertise to foster their growth.
  • Conduct on-site commissioning activities, working both independently and within a team.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in controls engineering.
  • Proficiency in Allen Bradley/Rockwell PLCs, with additional experience in Siemens PLCs being a plus.
  • Experience with scanning devices and placement photo eyes is preferred.
  • Expertise in AutoCAD and familiarity with AC drives (Powerflex 40/70/5/7 series).
  • Knowledge of field device networks, particularly Ethernet IP, with Profibus experience as an advantage.
  • Understanding of UL 508/508A standards for cabinet design.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a meticulous, detail-oriented approach.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team across diverse regions.
  • Willingness to travel for various projects, adapting to schedule needs.
