Anticipated Pay Rate:
The beginning rate for the special education assignment is as follows:
- With DPI Special Ed Program Aide License: $18.69 (requires obtaining a special education certification; reimbursement of the $100 license fee after 90 days of employment)
- With DPI Teacher or Specialty License/Certification: $20.72
- Work with students under the supervision of certified teachers to support and serve students with intellectual disabilities throughout the school day.
- Provide academic instruction, behavioral supports, supervision, daily living skills, and delegated nursing tasks to students with disabilities.
- Special education certification required (for the DPI Special Ed Program Aide License).
