A well-established private education organization is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Payroll Specialist to join a collaborative administrative team. This role supports core financial operations in a dynamic, community-focused environment and is ideal for someone who values accuracy, organization, and meaningful work.

The position combines accounts receivable, payroll processing, and general accounting support while interacting professionally with families, staff, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable
  • Process enrollment-related contracts, amendments, and program registrations using an automated accounting system
  • Coordinate billing with an external service provider and reconcile monthly billing to attendance records
  • Post and manage online payments and customer accounts
  • Conduct professional and courteous collections when necessary
  • Prepare month-end reconciliations and assist with audit and tax schedules
  • Perform bank account reconciliations
Payroll
  • Process biweekly payroll for approximately 80 employees using a payroll system
  • Manage year-end and compliance-related payroll reporting (e.g., W-2 and benefits documentation)
General Administrative Support
  • Provide backup support within the office as needed
  • Participate in organizational events, safety drills, and occasional cross-functional support activities
Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field
  • 1–2+ years of experience in accounts receivable and payroll
  • Experience working with automated accounting or ERP systems
  • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, and general office software
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly and independently
