A municipal government in Wausau is seeking a Mechanic I to perform skilled maintenance on diesel transit buses and non-revenue vehicles. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, related vocational training, and at least one year of experience in mechanic repair. The position requires the ability to work independently, handle various mechanical repairs, and operate necessary equipment safely.
The starting hourly rate is $24.46 with opportunities for advancement. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.
