• Radius Rule: Contractors must be outside a 50-mile radius

Contract Details

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights (NOCS) | 1900–0730

Scheduling & Coverage

• Float Requirement: Float to all inpatient units as needed
• On-Call / Call-Back: May be low-censused and placed on call; call-back minimum is 2 hours
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday

Licensing & Certifications

• Required License: Wisconsin RN License
• Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Testing Requirement: Must pass EKG test during the first week of hire

Experience Requirements

• Minimum Experience:
  • 1 year of strong cardiac experience (Cardiac SDU / Intermediate Cardiac / Cardiac ICU)
  • 2 years of IMC / PCU / Telemetry experience
• Medication Experience (Required):
  • Amiodarone
  • Cardizem
  • Nitroglycerin drips
• Travel Experience: At least one completed travel assignment required
• Charting Experience: 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience

Unit Information

• 44-bed Intermediate Cardiac Step-Down Unit
• Fast-paced unit with high patient turnover
• Patient population includes:
  • Post-op CABG and valve surgeries
  • Thoracotomy and vascular cases
  • Arrhythmias, CHF
  • Post-procedure caths
  • Pacemakers, defibrillators, ablations
  • Acute chest pain / MI
  • Med-surg overflow (detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure, Fem-Pop bypass)
• Typical Patient Ratio: 1:4
