Position Overview
Malone Healthcare – Nursing is seeking a travel RN (Med Surg) for a 13‑week assignment in Wausau, Wisconsin. The role is an 12‑hour rotating shift with travel nursing, scheduled for every other weekend and holiday.

Certifications:
Wisconsin RN license, BLS - Minimum Experience:
2+ years Med Surg experience, recent hospital experience, Trauma Level II experience, prior travel experience required - Charting

Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, Alaris pumps
This is a post‑surgical care unit (post‑recovery after PACU) in a 40‑bed inpatient area for adults and geriatric patients. Nurse‑to‑patient ratio is 1:4‑5 during the day/PM and 1:5‑7 unit averages 10‑15 admissions per day, with a 90‑95% occupancy during the week and an average length of stay of 2‑3 days (except joint procedures). RNs must multitask, prioritize patient care based on acuity, and work as a team.
Qualifications& Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (or equivalent experience) and current RN license
- 2+ years of Med Surg experience, recent hospital bedside experience, Trauma Level II, and prior travel nursing experience
- Proficient in Epic EMR charting
- Strong communication, organization, and adaptability skills.
