Travel Nurse RN – Med Surg – Wausau, Wisconsin

TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse for a 13‑week Med‑Surg assignment at a Wausau, WI facility. The position involves 36 hours per week with 12‑hour rotating shifts.

• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients’ immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Document patient findings and provide education and support to patients and families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑operative patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, and report any adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plans as prescribed by physician.

• BLS certification (minimum 1 year of recent acute‑care experience).
• 1–2 years recent acute‑care experience.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop; lift 20 lb easily, up to 50 lb when needed.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment treating patients who may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning assignment.

Pay package based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
