There are two neurosurgeons whom the APC will work with and support for clinic, call and surgical purposes. Four department APC's currently. Looking for 1 full-time locum with ongoing availability. Practice Details:
Neurosurgery APC requirements (MUST HAVE RECENT NEUROSURGERY EXPERIENCE INCLUDING SURGICAL CASES):
Schedule will be 40 hours per week, with 4 ??? 10h days for 3 weeks alternating with 5 ??? 8h days for 1 week. There are additional hours of weekend call once every fourth weekend until February 2024, then once every 5th weekend beginning in March 2024, as-well-as weeknight call once every fourth week until February 2024, then once every 5th week beginning in March 2024.

Weekend call is Friday through Sunday and weeknight call is Monday through Thursday. Duties include surgical first assist; bedside procedures; rounding independently in all hospital units including NICU, PICU, Peds, ICU (surgical and medical), and general med/surg floor; hospital and ER/UC consults; clinic duties including outpatient consultations, post-operative/post-hospital patient care, fracture care, patient phone calls, medication refills, and FMLA documentation.
