Medical Customer Service/Medical Screener

About the RoleAs a Plasma Donor Screener, you will greet donors, perform venipuncture, operate and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment, monitor donor reactions, record vital signs and laboratory values, and capture donor data in the Donor Information System (DIS). You will coordinate donations, apply the Debit Card donation payment system, and collaborate with center management to continuously improve operations through 5S, Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen initiatives.
Responsibilities- Greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
- Perform venipuncture and program the plasmapheresis machine.
- Monitor donors during the donation process and manage donor reactions.
- Set up, verify, operate, and troubleshoot plasmapheresis equipment within scope of training.
- Install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on plasmapheresis machines.
- Stock supplies, break down empty cartons and assist with proper disposal.
- Take and record donor pulse, blood pressure, and temperature measures and monitor the electronic donor questionnaire system.
- Perform finger sticks, test sample, and record other donor measures including hematocrit, total protein and weight.
- Enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS).
- Coordinate donors to the donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system.
- Support center management in identifying operational opportunities for continuous improvement.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of customer or patient‑facing experience (preferred).
- Ability to walk, stand and perform physical tasks (incl. leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, lifting up to 32 lbs routinely and occasionally 50 lbs).
- Fine‑motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays and rotating schedules.

Hourly wage: $17.00 per hour (subject to minimum wage requirements).
