Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day/night variable shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

• 48 guaranteed hours per week with overtime after 48 hours worked

• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required

• Float to all inpatient units with appropriate patient assignments

• Can be placed on call during low census periods with 2-hour minimum callback pay

• Nurse to patient ratio: day/evening 1:4 or 1:5, nights 1:5-1:7

• Fast-paced post-surgical unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day

• Unit occupancy 90-95% during the week with average length of stay 2-3 days

• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility location

• 2+ years Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience

• Trauma Level II experience required

• Prior travel experience required

• Epic charting experience required

• Required certifications:
Wisconsin RN License and BLS

• Equipment used:
Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, Alaris pumps

• Associate Degree or Certificate required, Bachelor's Degree preferred

• Any color scrubs permitted

• Must have ability to multitask and prioritize patient care based on acuity

This healthcare facility features a 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit that provides comprehensive care for pre and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients along a continuum of care. The unit operates as a fast-paced environment with high occupancy rates and focuses on post-recovery care after patients leave the PACU. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and utilizes modern technology and equipment to support nursing staff in delivering quality healthcare services.
