Join us as our new Lead Sanitation Technician

Responsibilities
  • Organizing and assigning daily sanitation tasks to team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to cleaning schedules, monitoring progress on assigned tasks and provide support or guidance as needed to meet expectations.
  • Fostering a collaborative and respectful environment that aligns with company culture commitments.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitization of manufacturing equipment, utensils, and work areas in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Assisting in environmental monitoring and swab testing when applicable by completing additional or ad-hoc cleanings where required.
  • Following all requirements related to CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), FDA regulations and safety protocols.
  • Maintaining detailed cleaning logs and records as required by 21 CFR Part 111 and CGDP (Current Good Documentation Practices).
  • Conducting pre- and post-cleaning inspections to ensure cleanliness of equipment and facilities.
  • Performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility.
  • Working closely with Quality Assurance (QA) and Production teams to ensure cleaning schedules align with production needs.
  • Identifying opportunities for improving cleaning processes and suggest enhancements.
To succeed you must hold
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional training in sanitation or food safety is a plus.
  • Prior experience in sanitation within a food, pharmaceutical, or dietary supplement manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, 21 CFR Part 111, and FDA regulatory requirements is a strong advantage.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow strict sanitation protocols.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge to disassemble and reassemble equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Location: Wausau, WI (On-Site)

Expected salary range: $24 an hour plus shift premium

Working Conditions

Working environment is generally favorable. Work schedule, lighting, temperature, and noise levels are adequate. Frequent entry into the production facility requires personal protective equipment to be worn at all times. This includes a lab coat, hair/beard net, safety glasses, bump cap and gloves. Work schedule is mainly 2nd shift but may involve work on other shifts as part of overtime.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk, hear, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, keyboard and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Specific vision abilities required by this job include vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
