The Production Painter I is an entry‑level position in a manufacturing environment responsible for performing basic painting tasks under close supervision. The role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint using standard tools, and ensuring finished products meet basic quality standards. The Painter I follows detailed instructions and safety protocols while developing foundational industrial painting skills.

• Prepare surfaces, including sanding and masking.
• Use basic painting tools such as spray guns, brushes, and rollers.
• Follow simple work instructions and paint specifications.
• Apply paint evenly to meet basic quality standards.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and recognize potential hazards.
• Cross‑train and support all Painter I roles.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Accurate use of measuring devices (tape measures).
• Use of hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
• Reading of blueprints.
• Reading and interpreting Work Instructions and SOPs.
• Basic computer proficiency (data entry).
