Architectural Metals (Metals) is a segment within Apogee that is a provider of aluminum windows, curtain wall (soon to be retired), storefront and entrance systems. We offer an integrated set of capabilities including design, engineering, extrusion, finishing, fabrication, and assembly.

The Production Painter I is an entry-level position in a manufacturing environment responsible for performing basic painting tasks under close supervision. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint using standard tools, and ensuring that finished products meet basic quality standards. The Production Painter I is expected to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols while developing foundational skills in industrial painting.

• Basic knowledge of painting processes, including surface preparation (e.g., sanding, masking). Familiarity with using basic painting tools and equipment, such as spray guns, brushes, and rollers.
• Ability to follow simple work instructions and paint specifications.
• Attention to detail to ensure even application of paint and basic quality.
• Adherence to safety guidelines and ability to recognize potential hazards.
• Must be cross-trained and able to support all Painter I roles.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
• Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
• Ability to follow blueprints.
• Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ability to use a computer with basic proficiency (data entry).

• The position is based in a manufacturing facility, which may involve exposure to loud noises, varying temperatures, and dust from production processes.
• Associates will frequently work near or with machinery with moving parts, following strict safety protocols.
• The facility operates on shift schedules with potential for overtime, including weekends, based on production needs.
• This environment emphasizes team collaboration and adherence to safety regulations to ensure the well‑being of all associates.
