Salary Range: $70,000–$73,000 (negotiable based on qualifications and experience)

Position: Director of Operations & Integrator
Visit Wausau — Wausau, Wisconsin
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Work Location: Wausau, WI (hybrid eligible)
Position SummaryVisit Wausau is seeking a Director of Operations & Integrator to lead internal operations, financial oversight, and organizational accountability. This position ensures the organization operates efficiently, transparently, and in compliance with public funding and governance requirements.
This is a leadership role focused on systems, structure, and follow-through
. It is not a marketing, administrative, or event-execution position.
- Serve as the organization’s Integrator
, ensuring priorities are executed and accountability systems function effectively - Lead internal operational processes, including planning, reporting, and workflow coordination
- Oversee budgeting and review monthly financial statements using Quick Books Online
- Maintain operational oversight of CRM and CMS platforms
, ensuring proper use, data integrity, and staff accountability - Coordinate preparation of board and committee materials
- Oversee internal HR systems including onboarding, PTO tracking, and performance review schedules
- Provide operational oversight (not execution) for grants, compliance reporting, and major events
- Routine administrative or clerical work
- Data entry or daily CMS/CRM updates
- Marketing or content execution
- Event logistics or registrations
- Grant narrative writing
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in operations, finance, nonprofit, municipal, or organizational leadership
- Working proficiency with Quick Books Online and financial reporting
- Familiarity with CRM and CMS platforms
- Strong organizational, analytical, and systems-thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively with boards, public funding, and compliance requirements
- Experience in a publicly funded or nonprofit organization
- Familiarity with EOS or similar accountability frameworks
This position involves regular office and computer-based work, including sitting, standing, and use of standard office equipment. Occasional evening meetings or events may be required.
