Job Details:

• Work 12-hour variable day/night shifts (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)

• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

• Every other weekend and holiday required

• Float to all inpatient units with appropriate patient assignments

• May be placed on call during low census periods with minimum 2-hour call back

• Nurse to patient ratio: day/PM 1:4 or 5, nights 1:5-7

• Fast-paced post-surgical unit averaging 10-15 admissions per day

• 2+ years Med Surg experience required with recent hospital experience

• Trauma level II experience required

• Prior travel experience required

• Required certifications:
Wisconsin RN License and BLS

• Epic EMR experience required

• Equipment includes Epic EMR, Rovers for medication scanning, and Alaris pumps

• Scrubs: any color permitted

• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred

• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility

• Provide post-surgical care for adults and geriatric patients

• Must demonstrate ability to multitask and prioritize patient care based on acuity

• Work collaboratively as part of healthcare team

This healthcare facility operates a 40-bed Post Surgical Care Unit providing comprehensive care for pre and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients along a continuum of care. The unit maintains high occupancy rates of 90-95% during weekdays with an average length of stay of 2-3 days. The facility emphasizes quality patient care and maintains modern medical equipment and technology to support optimal patient outcomes.
