Aspirus Health in Wausau, WI is seeking a Supervisor Coding Inpatient to join our Coding team! This role offers flexibility to work from any Aspirus facility or remotely.

This supervisor works closely with the Coding Manager/Director to plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of the inpatient coding area. The supervisor oversees day‑to‑day operations, staff scheduling, productivity monitoring, coaching, training, hiring decisions, disciplinary actions, and serves as a collaborative resource to other departments and revenue cycle staff.

• Supervise inpatient coding staff and coordinate workflow processes.
• Manage staff scheduling, productivity monitoring, and coaching.
• Exercise judgment in hiring, coaching, and corrective/disciplinary action.
• Collaborate with CDI team, providers, and revenue cycle staff on projects and initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related health field desired.
• Associate degree and five years of technical or professional coding experience required.
• Expert knowledge of ICD‑10 and PCS coding, medical terminology, and revenue cycle practices.
• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Epic experience and Microsoft application skills.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), RHIA or RHIT certification required.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, project management, and interpersonal skills.
