Job Summary
Manufacturing Engineer assists in determining the operations required for fabrication and assembly of products as well as implementing cost-savings process improvements. Troubleshoots and resolves issues, estimating time requirements for operations, and preparing operation sheets. Recommends and implements improvements and/or modifications in the sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters in order to increase efficiency and cost savings.

• Works directly with Value Stream Leaders to troubleshoot and resolve runnability constraints and bottlenecks, create set up improvements.
• Provides feedback and input on corrective action processes for Quality failure resolution.
• Participates at initiation phase of new product lines to assist in designing cost-effective manufacturing layouts and building tools using ergonomic principles.
• Develops and designs workplace layouts to reduce job safety risk and inefficient operations.
• Measures variances to standards, identifies out-of-control variances, investigates causes, and suggests solutions.
• Collaborates with cross functional teams to ensure BU performance is within budgeted performance parameters: AOP, absorption and other KPIs.
• Develops methods for measuring work performance against standards.

• Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience, 3+ years. (Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering preferred)
• Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma preferred.
• Commitment to company values and working with a sense of urgency in areas including Safety, Productivity and Customer Success.
• Experience in a medium to heavy manufacturing environment with complex machinery, product mix and materials supply chain.

  :
  This area includes electric motors, drives and industrial automation equipment and services, and maintenance services. Electric motors and other related equipment find applications in practically all industrial segments, in equipment such as compressors, pumps and fans, for example.
• Energy Generation, Transmission and Distribution (GTD):
  Products and services include electric generators for hydraulic and thermal power plants (biomass), hydro turbines, wind turbines, transformers, substations, control panels and system integration services.
• Commercial and Appliance Motors
  :
  Focus is the market of single phase motors for durable consumer goods, such as washing machines, air conditioners, water pumps, among others.
• Paints and Varnishes
  :
  Includes liquid paints, powder paints, and electro-insulating varnishes, with a clear focus on industrial applications in Brazil and expansion to Latin America and other regions.
