Salary Is Commensurate Based On Occupational Experience And Qualifications.

Job Summary

The Learning Coordinator supports the School of Agricultural Sciences, Utilities, and Transportation by coordinating course offerings, schedules, and faculty assignments to ensure efficient operations and student access. This role maintains accurate tracking and documentation for instructional pay, budgets, purchasing, grant activity, and required program compliance, including accreditation and external partner agreements. The Learning Coordinator also supports program logistics and key events and provides onboarding and day to day supervision for assigned staff to maintain consistent, compliant, and effective department operations.

Essential

Functions And Responsibilities Faculty Assignments, Course Schedules, And Payments
  • Coordinate program class offerings each semester using scheduling matrices and block schedules to support efficient scheduling and student access.
  • Assist the Dean in developing course schedules and entering schedules into Workday.
  • Create and coordinate full‑time faculty teaching assignments.
  • Assign adjunct faculty to courses based on qualifications, availability, and program needs.
  • Maintain tracking for faculty and adjunct instructional pay, including overload and extra‑contractual stipends.
  • Review and approve requests for Instructional Pay forms for faculty and adjuncts.
Budget Preparation And Management
  • Review and manage budgets for the School of Agriculture.
  • Create and maintain open purchase orders including coordinating the RFP process, when required.
  • Monitor grant budgets to ensure funds are used in accordance with grant guidelines.
Compliance
  • Coordinate course material information between faculty and the campus store to ensure quality cost effective class materials.
  • Coordinate accreditation, documentation, and required program materials.
  • Coordinate service and lease agreements with external partners, including landowners and equipment providers.
Event Support
  • Coordinate adjunct engagement activities, including Adjunct Night.
  • Support the coordination of outreach and recruitment events including Ag Outreach on K12 events, and other program events.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Provide input during the hiring process, oversee training, conduct performance evaluations, and support professional development.
  • Assign work and projects, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with College policies, procedures, and security protocols.
  • Provide onboarding support to newly hired staff.
  • Approve time and attendance and support scheduling needs, including vacation approvals.
  • Supervise operational staff which includes professional development, performance management, scheduling vacation approvals, and approving bi‑weekly timesheets.
  • Serve as a resource for operational staff on College procedures and student related questions.
