Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment, tools, and facility systems s role supports equipment uptime, safety, and reliability while helping establish standardized maintenance practices using a CMMS. You'll play a key role in shaping a growing, high-performing maintenance department in a mission-driven green tech company.

What You'll Do

* Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on production and facility equipment

* Complete preventative maintenance work orders and support continuous improvement

* Maintain hand tools and assembly support equipment

* Troubleshoot using blueprints, schematics, and drawings

* Maintain and repair facility systems (HVAC, boilers, compressed air, plumbing, electrical)

* Coordinate work with contractors and vendors

* Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and other regulations

* Plan maintenance activities, manage spare parts, and use the CMMS (Limble)

* Identify and implement process, safety, and equipment improvements

What You Bring

* Associate degree in a technical field and 3+ years of maintenance experience (or equivalent)

* Experience with manufacturing equipment, including sheet metal fabrication

* Knowledge of electrical fundamentals and facility utility systems

* Ability to read engineering drawings and electrical schematics

* Manufacturing environment experience and CMMS experience

Physical and Mental Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands along with fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

The employee must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 lbs.; lifting over 50 lbs. will require assistance from other support staff as needed. Specific vision required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to understand issues, problems, and opportunities and make timely, sound decisions. Take responsibility for decisions and understand the impact and implications of decisions and provide feedback as necessary. Communicate with other employees and customers, perform an assortment of administrative tasks, and have personal management skills. Possess advanced customer service skills, the ability to develop professional relationships with customers and employees.

Demonstrate attention to detail and exert high effort and focus on very busy days. Must be able to make sound decisions and remain calm under high pressure situations. Must continually identify personal knowledge and perspective gaps and self-educate.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a production environment with mechanical assembly operations, and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
