Madison Country Day School, a PreK-12 International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, seeks adventurous and energetic Educational Assistants to join the MCDS Early Childhood and Lower School (Pre-Kindergarten through Grade
4) team for the 2026-27 school year.

• Creativity:
  Creative thinking is essential for finding innovative ways to engage students and make learning exciting. Educational assistants should be able to think outside the box and develop engaging activities and lessons.
• Optimism: A positive and optimistic attitude can inspire others and create a supportive learning environment. Candidates should be able to approach challenges with a "can-do" attitude. Candidates should have a genuine passion for education and be excited about working with students of different grade levels.
• Flexibility:
  The ability to adapt and be flexible is important in the dynamic environment of a school. Educational assistants should be open to change, willing to take on different responsibilities and adjust their approach to meet the needs of students and teachers.

  Having a growth mindset means embracing challenges, persisting through obstacles, and believing in the ability to improve. Educational assistants should encourage students to develop a growth mindset and model it themselves.
• Passion for Working with Children:

  As mentioned, candidates should be comfortable and enjoy spending time outdoors, regardless of the weather. This suggests a willingness to engage in outdoor activities and incorporate nature into the learning experience.

• Experience in the field of education and at least 1 year of professional experience is preferred
• Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Demonstrated examples of work where versatility, resourcefulness, innovation, and problem-solving skills
• Have a belief in the intrinsic relationship between social-emotional learning and culturally responsive pedagogy
• Work the hours of 7:45 am to 3:45 pm Monday thru Friday
