OverviewBlue Yonder’s Platform Data Cloud team’s mission is to reimagine supply chain technology and serve as the backbone of Blue Yonder’s SaaS products. This Senior IC role is a global architect focused on innovation in SaaS platform engineering, spanning infrastructure architecture through enterprise application platform features, to accelerate our cloud data team’s delivery and solution quality.
ResponsibilitiesConsistently deliver solid quality in design and implementation; build production‑ready data ingestion pipelines in Snowflake; design and scale enterprise cloud solutions; influence engineering design decisions; maintain large‑scale Kubernetes systems; apply object‑oriented and functional programming; drive innovation across product development features; provide standardized enterprise solutions for cloud infrastructure and application deployment; propose scalable architectural designs for modular and service‑based systems.
Technical Environment- Application Architecture: scalable, resilient, event‑driven, secure multi‑tenant microservices.
- Cloud Architecture: MS Azure (ARM templates, AKS, Virtue Networks, Event Hub, Azure AD).
- Frameworks/Other:
Kubernetes, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Spark, No
SQL, RDBMS, Spring Boot, Snowflake.
- Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field – required.
- 12‑15 years of software development experience, with 5+ years in Snowflake data engineering and Python/Streamlit – preferred.
- Hands‑on experience with Snowflake architecture, advanced SQL, bulk data copy, time travel, zero copy cloning, optimizer, metadata manager, RBAC, data sharing, replication, performance optimization, stored procedures, UDFs, external functions, and python or Streamlit for data apps and automation.
- Expertise with Snowflake architecture – compute, storage, cloud services.
- Advanced SQL writing.
- Bulk data copy (Snowpipe, tasks, streams).
- Time travel, zero copy cloning.
- Optimizer, metadata manager.
- RBAC.
- Data sharing, marketplace, listings, data exchanges.
- Replication/Failover.
- Performance optimization.
- Stored procedures, UDFs, external functions.
- Python or Streamlit for data apps and automation.
Snowflake admin activities;
Streamlit development experience; understanding of cost chargebacks in Snowflake; experience with JSON flattening;
SnowSQL/SnowCLI and Snowsight;
Snowflake architect certification preferred.
Salary range: $122,219 – $189,615 (commensurate with skills and experience). Eligible to participate in annual performance bonus or commission program.
