Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products in correct portion sizes to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use all bakery equipment, such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens, according to company guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients following recipes, using kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Label, package, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
• Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate action.
• Properly use kitchen equipment including stove, scale, fryer, steamer, and robot coupe.
• Maintain inventory and stock merchandise accurately.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to the manager.
• Locate products within the store to assist customers.
• Stay informed about current and upcoming promotions and product knowledge.
• Monitor inventory and stocking conditions, noting discrepancies.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, logging temperatures regularly.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers and foster trust among associates.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict constructively and maintain honesty and integrity in all interactions.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer Service skills
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math
• Ability to obtain a food handlers permit upon employment

Desired Previous Job Experience:

• Customer Service skills
• Bakery or Deli experience is helpful
• Retail experience
