About the RoleThe Waukesha County Park System is seeking a dedicated and innovative Head Ice Arena Attendant. This role focuses on delivering outstanding experiences to customers, protecting natural resources, and thriving on unique daily challenges. The position is part‑time (10‑15 hours per week) and requires availability for nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Example of Duties- Supervises part‑time staff.
- Operates ice equipment.
- Assists in running "Learn to Skate".
- Monitors ice skaters to ensure safe activity.
- Operates POS cash register and adheres to cash handling policies.
- Opens and closes the facility.
- Provides excellent customer service.
- Interacts with customers and coworkers in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Maintains safe working conditions and a sanitary work area.
- Performs basic cleaning duties (sweeping, mopping, trash removal).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Ability to skate.
- Ability to provide and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, including providing excellent customer service.
- Ability to safely operate equipment necessary to perform the duties of the position.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working and public relations with co‑workers, supervisors, and the public.
- Ability to interact sensitively with persons from diverse backgrounds and all ages.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push/pull, and lift up to 10‑20 lbs. on an occasional basis.
- 18 years of age.
- 8th grade education.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Some recent supervisory work experience.
- Some recent cash handling and customer service work experience.
- Operation of ice equipment.
