CLASSIFICATION SPECIFICATION

Example of Duties:

Concessionaire

- works in the Concession Stand:

  • collects fees for firewood,
  • sells concession items,
  • keeps inventory, and,
  • maintains and cleans concession stand and entrance hut.
  • Must be able to operate a cash register, provide change and complete paperwork to balance the assigned money drawer at the end of their shift.
Park Attendant

- performs overall maintenance of the park or golf course:

  • cuts grass using heavy duty equipment,
  • collects/dumps refuse/garbage,
  • cleans restrooms and pit toilets,
  • paints, and,
  • maintains tools and equipment.

  • Grounds Maintenance, 464 Riverview, Waukesha
  • Fox Brook Park, 2925 N. Barker Road, Brookfield
  • Fox River Park, W264 S4500 River Road, Waukesha
  • Menomonee Park, W220 N7884 Townline Road (CTH V), Menomonee Falls
  • Minooka Park, 1927 East Sunset Drive, Waukesha
  • Mukwonago Park, W325 S9945 Beulah Road (CTH LO), Mukwonago
  • Muskego Park, S83 W20370 Janesville Road, Muskego
  • Naga-Waukee Park, 651 Highway 83, Hartland
  • Nashotah Park, W330 N5113 Highway C, Nashotah
  • Retzer Nature Center, S14 W28167 Madison Street, Waukesha
Minimum Qualifications Essential Abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the public.
  • Ability to effectively interact with sensitivity with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, ethnic, and professional backgrounds, and persons of all ages and lifestyles.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment necessary to perform the duties of the position.
  • Ability to accurately count and handle money, and operate a cash register.
  • Ability to withstand exposure to variable and unfavorable weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push/pull, and lift up to 10‑20 lbs, on an occasional basis.
Minimum Training and Experience requirements
  • 14 years of age.
  • 8th grade education.
Desirable Skills

Some cash handling and customer service work experience.

Some recent unskilled and semi‑skilled manual labor involving the maintenance, construction and repair of park facilities.

Valid Driver's License.
