Minimum Experience:
1 year of cardiac experience - 2 plus years MS, Experience must be short term acute care hospital experience. At least 1 travel contract completed preferred.
Req Certs: WI or Compact RN, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
Charting
Experience:
Epic within 12 months
Required Skillset: must be comfortable with rhythm interpretation and be familiar with routine cardiac care for patient populations such as open heart surgical, arrhythmia, chest pain, cardiac procedural patients, heart failure, acute MI’s, etc.
- WILL TAKE AN ICU RN IF COMFORTABLE WITH PATIENT RATIOS Nurses on the night shift typically have 4-5 patients
Unit Information: HCU is considered an intermediate care unit and sees a variety of patients other than cardiac such as sepsis, respiratory failure, stroke, etc.
