Overview
The Director of Fund Development serves as the senior leader responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing all fundraising and development initiatives for the Hope Center. This position provides strategic direction for donor engagement, major gifts, grants, events, and community partnerships. The Director collaborates closely with the Executive Director, Board of Directors, and program leadership to ensure the organization’s long‑term financial health and mission advancement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- In collaboration with the Executive Director and Financial Committee, develop and execute a comprehensive annual fund development plan to meet or exceed budget goals.
- Lead components of individual giving, major gifts, corporate and foundation partnerships, planned giving, and other philanthropic initiatives.
- Establish clear performance metrics, monitor progress, and provide regular reports to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
- Identify emerging revenue opportunities and implement innovative fundraising strategies.
- Research, identify, and pursue grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government entities.
- Oversee the preparation of high‑quality grant proposals and ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
- Cultivate and sustain strong, long‑term relationships with donors and community partners.
- Oversee stewardship practices to ensure timely acknowledgment, recognition, and meaningful engagement.
- Manage a portfolio of major donors and develop individualized cultivation and solicitation strategies.
- Oversee donor database management to ensure accuracy, segmentation, and effective reporting.
- Utilize data analytics to inform strategy, forecast revenue, and evaluate fundraising performance.
- Direct the planning and execution of fundraising events, campaigns, and community outreach initiatives.
- Represent Hope Center at community functions, networking events, and public speaking engagements.
- Partner with marketing and communications to enhance visibility and support fundraising objectives.
- Collaborate with staff and volunteers to collect and share client success stories that highlight the agency’s impact and inspire donor giving.
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, business, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive fundraising experience, including major gifts and donor relations.
- Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding fundraising targets.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write persuasively.
- Proficiency with donor database systems, social media, and Microsoft Office Suite.

$70,000-$75,000 Annually
