- Load and unload trucks including load verification and completion of associated paperwork.
- Use Husco business systems (via desktop PC or handheld device) to conduct inventory control and transfer functions as well as view bills of materials, routings, part or assembly drawings, work instructions, schedules, etc.
- Put-away, pull, transfer, deliver, and retrieve materials throughout the plant.
- Conduct picking operations for internal and external customers including packaging of individual components and consolidation.
- Package materials for shipment including assembly of shipping containers, packing for safe and secure arrival at destination, preparation of necessary paperwork, and use of the logistics company PC systems (e.g. UPS/Fed Ex). Participate in inventory control activities (cycle counting, maintaining organization and cleanliness of storage areas, etc.
- May participate in process improvement activities focused on inventory accuracy, quality, productivity, delivery, or cost.
- Meet all quality and safety requirements of the company and industry.
- High School Diploma, GED (or equivalent)
- Requires forklift truck operation certification and other material handling equipment as needed
- Thorough knowledge of Husco product lines and plant material flow; understanding of material handling methods, efficient material storage techniques, and space utilization concepts
- Mathematical and record keeping skills
- Basic PC/laptop experience helpful; MS Office use preferred
- Sit: 10%, Stand/Walk: 80%, Squat/Kneel/Twist: 10%
- Lift up to 50 lbs; frequent lifting of 20 lbs
- Visual acuity for reading work orders, measuring devices, and computer screens
- Acute hearing for phone communication
- Normal temperature/humidity conditions
- Occasional exposure to hazardous materials
- Required PPE: safety glasses and safety shoes as needed
