Industrial Spray Painter - 2nd Shift
Location:
Lincoln Ave, Waukesha, WI. Core hours are 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm; overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory rly rate is $24.50 plus a $2.50 shift premium.
Sign‑on bonus of $2,000 (subject to applicable withholding).

The Spray Painter sands, cleans, masks, and paints all Terra‑Tran units, Power units, field returns, and fabricated components requiring final finishing. All units must be painted before final inspection.
In This Function, You Will- Prepare all surfaces for spraying: bare metal areas and previously painted surfaces via sanding and feather edging.
- Mask bushings and transformer accessories to prevent paint.
- Check bills material for correct color and mull thickness; record and attach unit serial numbers.
- Adjust and periodically check pump pressures, heater temperatures, and fluid/air pressures to maintain optimal spraying conditions.
- Check paint viscosity at shift start and mid‑shift using a Zahn cup and stopwatch.
- Maintain proper fluid and air pressure in spray pots for special colors.
- Verify that no areas have been missed.
- Change filters and maintain cleanliness of the spray booth floor as scheduled.
- Clean and lubricate spray guns at shift end; maintain personal respirator on schedule.
- Procure paints from the Paint Room using hand cart and barrel truck.
- Operate a 15,000 lb. electric walker to move smaller units into the spray booth.
- Coordinate with the crane operator for all moves of large units in and out of the spray booth.
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Previous industrial, manufacturing, or automotive spray‑painting experience.
- This position does not support immigration sponsorship or relocation benefits; only candidates within a 50‑mile radius of Waukesha, WI (active‑Duty military exempt) will be considered.
- Experience with industrial airless and/or air‑pressure painting.
- Minimum of six (6) months of previous industrial spray‑painting experience.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Certification to wear a personal respirator.
