Machinist, CNC - 2nd Shift

** Responsibilities:**

• Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of NC/CNC controlled lathes or machining centers to perform turning, boring, threading, contouring, milling, drilling, tapping, reaming, and angle and taper cuts to close tolerances and finish requirements.
• Work from routings, process sheets, and blueprints. Use precision instruments to set-up and inspect work.
• Assist in establishing program requirements. Make machine adjustments to correct deviations. Note and report program issues. Adjust programs as needed.
• Recommend tooling, fixtures, operational sequences. Mount and secure tooling, fixtures, platens, and work pieces. Assist in training new or less experienced operators. Run secondary or auxiliary operations when applicable.

** Requirements:**

• Experience with Fanuc controls preferred.
• Solid knowledge of machine shop and CNC techniques.
• At least 2 years of CNC turning experience.
• Strong skills in shop math and blueprint reading.
• Experience with hoists and cranes.
• Personal tools, willingness to acquire additional tools.
• Experience on large diameter vertical lathes is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 38 lbs.
