The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the master production schedule for all product lines, ensuring customer demand is met while optimizing inventory levels, capacity utilization, and manufacturing efficiency. This role serves as the central coordination point between sales, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics.

- Develop and maintain production schedules based on forecasted demand, inventory levels, and workflow efficiency. Ensure that the production schedule capacity is fully utilized to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
- Create, update, and manage all production jobs and schedules within the ERP system, confirming accuracy in scheduling and tracking. Keep the ERP system clean from miscellaneous or erroneous jobs to improve inventory.
- Release, print, and distribute production jobs and drawings to supervisors and leads, providing necessary details for seamless execution. Issue scrap and rework jobs as needed.
- Work closely with manufacturing supervisors and leads to ensure smooth workflow and address scheduling changes.
- Adjust schedules based on demand fluctuations, equipment availability and staffing considerations.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material procurement with purchasing to prevent shortages or delays. Complete cycle counting as needed.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions, Epicor ERP and other production planning tools to prepare and enhance production reports and metrics and present findings to management for decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain/operations management or related field of study.
- Minimum 3 years experience in production planning or scheduling in a manufacturing ERP environment.
- Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, macros, complex formulas, data analysis and automation). Power BI and ERP (e.g., Epicor) experience a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, decision making, prioritization and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams.
- Physical requirements include twisting, turning, grasping, reaching, kneeling, crawling, pulling, extended periods of standing, ability to lift 25 pounds. Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
