Location: Waukesha, WI 53189

Pay Rate: $23.00/hr

Shift: 2nd shift, Mon-Fri, 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Description:

Our family-owned and operated company is immediately hiring for a second shift Grinder in Waukesha, WI. You’ll be working Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Grinder Duties and Responsibilities

Receives work instructions and work schedule from operator, supervisor, and/or dispatch list.

Verifies correct quantity and quality of parts worked on.

Notifies supervisor when maintenance is required.

Participates in our gauge calibration program.

Be able to operate a hand torch.

Move material using a forklift and crane according to standard operating procedure, safety regulations and practices.

Perform the physical demands of the job classify it as medium work lifting 50 pounds maximum and/or frequently lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Job activities may require some climbing ladders.

Keep the work area in a safe, clean and orderly condition.

Follows established safety practices and regulations. Properly uses safety equipment and devices to prevent hazardous conditions, unsafe practices and accidents.

Often requires overtime.

Grinder Qualifications and Requirements

High school diploma and/or equivalent experience.

Good math skills.

Overhead crane experience preferred, but will train.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when required.

Operate a sander/grinder to deburr sharp edges.

Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance required to keep the machine in good working order.
