Senior Software Engineer – Srinivasa Kandi

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in software development within an agile environment
• Strong proficiency in modern software development technologies
• Experience with Linux operating systems and service pack releases
• Familiarity with hardware selection and integration processes
• Knowledge of performance diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Proficient in test automation development and scripting
• Understanding of cyber security, virtual machines, and container technologies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills within cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and efficiencies

Responsibilities:

• Define, develop, and enhance software solutions in an agile scrum team
• Translate high-level compute requirements into detailed component-level specifications
• Execute integration tasks at component, sub-system, and system levels
• Document system designs and verification processes
• Conduct verifications at both component and subsystem levels
• Assist in selecting hardware for end-of-life replacements and next-gen hardware
• Engage with OS partners and relevant teams to address root cause issues
• Triage and resolve performance-related problems across hardware and software
• Enhance operating system RPM packaging and installation scripts
• Develop diagnostic tools to improve existing solutions from vendors
• Implement security and serviceability modifications at the computing layer
• Create automated tests for diagnostics and software packages
• Stay informed about industry trends in computing and related technologies
• Collaborate with product leaders to formulate multi-generational tech plans
• Promote efficiency and minimize redundancy across teams
• Share timely and detailed information with team members and stakeholders
