ESTIMATED PAY RANGEEngineer I: $74,000 - $86,000
Engineer II: $82,000 - $94,000
Engineer III: $90,000 - $103,000
Senior Engineer: $97,000 - $112,000
Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and alignment with role expectations.
JOB SUMMARYAs a Manufacturing & Test Engineer in Waukesha, WI, you will:
- Design and manage new test fixtures for time delay relays and phase monitors; develop adaptable test systems using PLC programming, relay/phase‑monitor knowledge, and mechanical interfaces
- Create operator‑friendly interfaces that prevent product damage and ensure accurate pass/fail results
- Design and improve manufacturing processes for electrical and metal‑fabrication equipment
- Select, evaluate, and optimize machinery, tools, and equipment
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies
- Develop standardized work instructions, procedures, and documentation
- Support NPI with manufacturability and DFMA input
- Partner with quality teams on control plans, inspections, and testing protocols
- Troubleshoot production issues and support daily manufacturing operations
- Lead cost‑reduction and efficiency initiatives
- Collaborate across engineering, production, procurement, and supply chain
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a safe work environment
- Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners
- Contribute to projects that impact communities in the greater Milwaukee Metro area
- Apply your skills in a dynamic environment that values ownership and innovation
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience, ideally in electro‑mechanical or electronic assembly
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, electrical systems, and production workflows
- Hands‑on ability to support production associates and drive on‑line process improvements
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including root‑cause analysis and data‑driven decision‑making
- Familiarity with quality tools such as process control and FMEA
- Solid project management capability with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety regulations and best practices
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast‑paced, high‑growth, rapidly changing environment
- Capable of working independently and as a team member
- Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity
