Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and alignment with role expectations.

As a Manufacturing & Test Engineer in Waukesha, WI, you will:

• Design and manage new test fixtures for time delay relays and phase monitors; develop adaptable test systems using PLC programming, relay/phase‑monitor knowledge, and mechanical interfaces
• Create operator‑friendly interfaces that prevent product damage and ensure accurate pass/fail results
• Design and improve manufacturing processes for electrical and metal‑fabrication equipment
• Select, evaluate, and optimize machinery, tools, and equipment
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies
• Develop standardized work instructions, procedures, and documentation
• Support NPI with manufacturability and DFMA input
• Partner with quality teams on control plans, inspections, and testing protocols
• Troubleshoot production issues and support daily manufacturing operations
• Lead cost‑reduction and efficiency initiatives
• Collaborate across engineering, production, procurement, and supply chain
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote a safe work environment
• Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners
• Contribute to projects that impact communities in the greater Milwaukee Metro area
• Apply your skills in a dynamic environment that values ownership and innovation

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience, ideally in electro‑mechanical or electronic assembly
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, electrical systems, and production workflows
• Hands‑on ability to support production associates and drive on‑line process improvements
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including root‑cause analysis and data‑driven decision‑making
• Familiarity with quality tools such as process control and FMEA
• Solid project management capability with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety regulations and best practices
• Adaptability and resilience in a fast‑paced, high‑growth, rapidly changing environment
