We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to join our team in designing, developing, and supporting custom automation systems across a wide range of industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PLC and HMI programming, as well as hands‑on experience integrating industrial automation hardware and software.

As a Controls Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering turnkey automation solutions — from concept and design through commissioning and final hand‑off. You will collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to deliver innovative and efficient automation systems that meet our clients' unique needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, program, test, and debug PLC and HMI systems for custom automated equipment.
  • Develop and implement control system architectures based on project requirements.
  • Create and maintain electrical and control system documentation including I/O lists, control narratives, wiring schematics, and panel layouts.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software) throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Commission and troubleshoot automation systems both in‑house and at customer sites.
  • Integrate sensors, actuators, motion systems, vision systems, and safety devices as part of complete machine control.
  • Provide post‑installation support and assist with customer training when required.
  • Ensure all control systems comply with applicable safety standards (e.g., UL, CE, NFPA 79).
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, with a focus on PLC and HMI programming.
  • Proficiency in one or more major PLC platforms (e.g., Allen‑Bradley/Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi, etc.).
  • Experience with HMI development tools (e.g., Factory Talk View, WinCC, Ignition, etc.).
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control drawings.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
