Contract to Hire (approximately 6 months)
Our client is a leading AISC certified manufacturing company specializing in structural steel fabrication. The role involves operating a Lincoln Electric Python
X CNC Plasma Cutting system within the fabrication team. This is a detail-oriented CNC Operator position with expertise in plasma technology, able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Operate CNC machines with plasma technology, including Lincoln Electric Python
X, according to specifications - Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and make necessary adjustments
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the machining process
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and program requirements
- Perform and/or assist with preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in machining is preferred
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator, specifically with plasma machines
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming, nesting, and machine operations
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
