Job Title: IT Technical Specialist – SAP ILM & Archiving
Location: Onsite in Waukegan, IL
Period: 03/31/2025 to 03/31/2026
Hours/Week: 40 hours – Hours over 40 will be paid at time and a half
Rate: $90 – $105/hour
Contract Type: W-2 only, no visa sponsor ships or subcontracting

Scope of Services:

The IT Technical Specialist will provide expert technical direction and leadership in the development, testing, implementation, and support of SAP ILM (Information Lifecycle Management) and SAP Archiving with Open Text. The role requires comprehensive knowledge of SAP Archiving solutions, especially with Open Text, and the ability to manage complex SAP Archiving projects. The specialist will lead the implementation and optimization of these systems while ensuring compliance with corporate and divisional policies.

This individual will be responsible for coordinating across various business units and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of SAP Archiving solutions.

Role, Responsibilities, and Deliverables:

• System Configuration & Implementation:
  Lead the technical configuration, testing, and implementation of SAP ILM and Archiving solutions using Open Text, ensuring that the solutions meet business requirements and are aligned with strategic objectives.
• Requirements Gathering & Scoping:
  Facilitate and lead workshops for requirements gathering and scoping of SAP Archiving projects. Work with business users and technical teams to ensure clear documentation and project estimates.
• Project Management:
  Manage SAP Archiving projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality. Provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to execution and delivery.
• Stakeholder Coordination:
  Coordinate with external partners, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure successful execution of projects. Maintain strong communication across all stakeholders and facilitate collaboration.
• Technical Guidance & Leadership:
  Provide technical leadership on SAP ILM and Archiving with Open Text, offering expert advice and solving complex technical issues.
• System Optimization & Maintenance:
  Oversee performance monitoring, capacity planning, and optimization of SAP ILM and Archiving systems to ensure peak performance.
• Documentation & Reporting:
  Ensure all project documentation is complete and accurate, including change requests, testing, system validation, and other project deliverables.
• Training & Support:
  Lead user training sessions and provide hypercare support during and after the implementation phase. Address any post-implementation issues and ensure smooth system transitions.
• Compliance & Best Practices:
  Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Follow best practices in system configuration, testing, and project management to achieve optimal results.
• Research & Innovation:
  Conduct research into new technologies, tools, and techniques that can improve SAP ILM and Archiving processes. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and SAP developments to continuously improve system performance and business processes.

Experience & Skills:

• Experience:
  
  10-13 years of experience in SAP ILM, SAP Archiving, and Open Text, preferably in the healthcare industry. Strong project management background with the ability to lead complex, global projects.
• Technical Expertise:
  Comprehensive knowledge of SAP ILM and Archiving solutions, with experience in configuring, testing, and maintaining these systems.
• Problem-Solving & Root Cause Analysis:
  Proven experience in identifying root causes of issues and implementing solutions in complex SAP environments.
• Collaboration & Communication:
  Strong ability to collaborate with business users, functional teams, and external vendors. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Process & Compliance Expertise:
  Knowledge of SAP’s best practices for ILM, Archiving, and GxP compliance. Understanding of industry regulations and company policies regarding data retention and security.
• Leadership:
  Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet business objectives.

Education & Certifications:

• Education:
  
  Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related business field.
• Certifications:
  
  SAP certification in relevant areas (SAP ILM, SAP Archiving, Open Text) is preferred. Additional certifications in project management or business process management are beneficial.
