Audio Visual Solutions Engineer

Embark IT is seeking an experienced Audio Visual Solutions Engineer to design, develop, and implement advanced AV systems that meet diverse customer requirements and mission‑critical project needs. This role blends technical engineering expertise with project management discipline and strong communication skills.

The AV Solutions Engineer will create preliminary designs, generate specifications, and evaluate ongoing changes throughout the design and production lifecycle. Responsibilities extend to reviewing innovative approaches in circuitry, power distribution, and the integration of automated testing capabilities within AV system architectures.

AV Solutions Engineer will deliver engineering and technical support services across multiple client sites.

Key functions include:

• Designing and integrating AV systems for a wide ranging client base
• Performing engineering reviews of existing drawing packages and implementing modifications based on system requirements and facility layouts.
• Creating pre‑installation, testing, and checkout documentation for AV equipment and subsystems.
• Cataloging and archiving AV‑related software media.
• Overseeing and performing installation of AV components
• Collaborating closely with customer stakeholders to develop system specifications

• Execute tasks with professionalism, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Demonstrate initiative and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of AV technologies, tools, and industry advancements.
• Keep managers and supervisors informed of progress and potential risks.
• Work effectively and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Adhere to contract requirements, organizational policies, and engineering standards.
• Meet deadlines and apply sound engineering judgment in AV system design and documentation.
• Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage and prioritize multiple technical taskings effectively.

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands‑on experience in Audio Visual Engineering & Design.
• Strong understanding of quality measurement and oversight throughout AV system development and engineering review milestones.

• CTS‑D (AVIXA Certified Technical Specialist — Design).
• CQD (AQAV Certified Quality Designer).
• Certifications in Extron, Q‑SYS, AMX, or other advanced AV platforms.

• Work may involve handling confidential or unclassified Government information and must be done in compliance with all security protocols.
• Primarily indoor, office‑based, sedentary work environment.
• Occasional outdoor work may occur with exposure to environmental elements.
