We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Special Projects Composite Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for performing composite layup operations to manufacture high‑quality composite parts. The ideal candidate should have at least two years of experience in pre‑preg material placement on open‑face tooling, material orientation, and consolidation techniques. Proficiency in vacuum bagging and knowledge of curing operations are required.

• Perform tooling prep operations in preparation for lamination.
• Prepare and organize composite materials for lamination.
• Apply composite materials onto molds or tooling surfaces using hand layup or automated processes.
• Ensure proper ply orientation, ply thickness, and material consolidation.
• Use vacuum bagging techniques for composite layup.
• Interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Basic use of computers for documentation and record‑keeping.
• Verbal and written communication of instructions.

• Reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to follow safe work practices.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills in composite layup using composite prepreg materials.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Manual dexterity and hand‑tool usage.
• Good hand‑eye coordination.
• Strong commitment to quality standards and procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and record‑keeping.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of basic hand‑tools.
• Ability to become certified to wear a respirator.
• Maintain work area neat, orderly, and organized.
• No known allergies to epoxies or other composite materials.
• Verbal and written communication ability.
