is seeking a Senior IT and Desktop Support Technician to help manage IT operations for our clients in the Monterey Bay area. We are looking for someone who is ready to make a difference and help us build the future of security-focused IT services.
Responsibilities- Maintain and administer hundreds of computer systems and related computing environments including computer hardware, servers, software and networking devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks.
- Work closely with the remote helpdesk team to resolve tickets.
- Perform computer installations and imaging.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation of system configurations and processes.
- Software management and installations.
- Network and networking device troubleshooting.
- Participate in periodic security audits, accountable for ensuring security controls are adhered to, systems are secure, and unauthorized access is prevented.
- Assist in documentation and implement IT policies and procedures.
- BS/BA Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or comparable experience/certifications in an IT related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or related technical roles.
- Well versed in a broad set of technologies including networking, storage, service desk, cybersecurity, virtualization, cloud infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS), etc.
- Microsoft Windows, Linux
- Active Directory, Office
365 - Enterprise Networking
- Virtual environments
- Storage technologies
- Endpoint Management, Computer Imaging.
- Experience deploying and supporting cloud-based applications.
- Knowledgeable with cybersecurity best practices, HIPAA, and/or HITECH requirements.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent English verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Healthcare-related IT experience and/or industry knowledge is a plus.
- Experience working with remote/offshore teams.
- Project management training or experience (including software) preferred.
- Background working with an MSP or MSSP environment is an added advantage.
- Position Type: Full-time
- Work Location: 100% on-site in Watsonville, California. Candidates must reside near or within a 30‑minute radius of the city.
