We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support rehabilitation services in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting. The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in implementing individualized physical therapy treatment plans as established by the Physical Therapist.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility interventions.
- Monitor patient response to treatment and report progress or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Accurately document treatment sessions and patient progress in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
- Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility strategies, and safety precautions.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support resident-centered rehabilitation goals.
- Maintain compliance with state regulations, facility policies, and professional standards of practice.
- Active state Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license required.
- Less than one (1) year of experience accepted; new graduates encouraged to apply.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to varying schedules and patient needs.
