Warehouse & Logistics Manager

We are recruiting on behalf of a client for Warehouse Operations Manager.

Our client is is a leading global distributor of pharmaceuticals.

Their success to date is the result of 50 years’ experience providing medicines to our customers in over 70 countries across 6 continents.

* Job Title Warehouse & Logistics Manager

* Location - Hertordshire

* Salary £50,000 to £60,000 dependent on experience

* Bonus - Perfromance related

* Holidays 24 days plus Bank Holidays

Accountabilities

Warehouse Operations Management
• Oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Ensure all operations comply with GDP and GMP, meeting MHRA and internal quality standards.
• Manage temperature‑controlled storage requirements.
• Maintain and improve SOPs for safety, compliance, and operational accuracy.

Logistics & Distribution
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with couriers and 3PL partners.
• Ensure compliant and secure transportation of pharmaceutical and cold‑chain products.
• Track delivery performance and address logistics issues proactively. 3PL Management (Third‑Party Logistics)

• Manage relationships with external 3PL providers responsible for storage, distribution, or value‑added services.
• Monitor 3PL performance against agreed KPIs, SLAs, and GDP requirements.

Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Habits

• Minimum 3 years’ pharmaceutical warehouse or logistics experience.
• Experience with export and 3PL oversight in a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of cold‑chain logistics and use of passive shippers highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and cross‑functional team management.
• Excellent knowledge of GDP/GMP and compliance frameworks
