The Role
Shift Pattern:
Monday to Friday, 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm.
As a Cleaning Supervisor, you will be the main point of contact for clients and managers on site, coordinate and lead a team of cleaners, ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained, support the training and induction of new staff and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Be the clients’ and managers’ main point of contact on site
- Coordinate and drive a team on site, while completing core cleaning duties with the team
- Support the manager with the training and induction of new staff, and the completion of training records
- Lead by example when completing tasks, following the safe systems of work and method statements
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are performed to a high standard
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain quality control
- Manage cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are used efficiently and maintained in good condition
- Address any operational issues or challenges that arise, finding effective solutions to maintain smooth operations
- You must have the right to work in the UK
- Demonstrable people skills or experience coordinating a team
- Experience cleaning in a similar environment or transferable skills, knowledge and understanding
- Understanding of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and Health & Safety compliance on similar sites/environments
- Experience in training and inducting colleagues
- Strong communication skills, essential for client liaison and effective team coordination
- Proactive and adaptable, able to respond to changing demands and priorities
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards
- This is an extremely busy role so the successful candidate must be able to work quickly and be a strong, good leader to get the team working to their best
- The successful candidate must be able to operate a mobile phone and a laptop to be able to carry out audits, staff training with their team
