Overview
We are excited to invite applications for Advanced Practitioners (Band 8a) positions in our dynamic and expanding Emergency Medicine Division. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in supporting both the nursing and medical teams within the Emergency Department. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of outstanding patient care, from the first point of contact through to admission or discharge.

With a new hospital planned for Watford, work underway to update theatres at St Albans City Hospital and plans for a neighbourhood healthcare centre in Hemel Hempstead, this is an exciting time to join us. Responsibilities- Early assessment of patients, access to investigations, consultation, independent prescribing, and liaison with medical, nursing, AHP and support teams.
- Exercise a high degree of professional autonomy and integrity to make critical judgments to satisfy the expectations and demands of the role.
- Work a 7-day service with shifts across all areas within the Emergency Division.
