As a children’s complex care assistant, you will provide high‑quality care and support to clients with complex healthcare needs. You’ll have the opportunity to build strong relationships with one or a few clients in your local area.

Your role will involve ensuring that each client receives person‑centred care and helping them lead fulfilling and happy lives.

Being a children’s complex care assistant is rewarding and fulfilling, and you’ll cover a wide range of tasks. Throughout, our nurse managers and field care supervisors will ensure you have the knowledge and skills to provide safe, effective care.

A children’s complex care assistant’s daily tasks may include supporting clients with personal care, moving and handling, medication administration, activity planning, and community access.

You may also provide clinical support, including tracheostomy, PEG, and ventilation management.

When required, you may assist with light household duties and preparing meals.
